Downtown Sevierville’s 9 to 5K: A Dolly-Inspired Race to Remember

Dolly Parton sang 9 to 5… and here in Downtown Sevierville, we took it and ran with a 9 AM 5K 💖

On March 14, 2026, downtown wasn’t just a place you pass through—it became a place where people showed up, connected, and created something special together. The inaugural 9 to 5K Run and Butterfly Mile Walk brought a wave of energy through the streets, with runners, walkers, families, and friends all sharing in the experience.

We just wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

To everyone who showed up early, laced up their shoes, and stepped out into downtown—whether you ran the full 5K, joined the Butterfly Walk, or simply came to cheer others on—you helped make this day unforgettable. It wasn’t just about crossing a finish line. It was about being part of something bigger.

The route itself highlighted the heart of Downtown Sevierville, beginning and ending near the historic courthouse and winding through the walkable streets that continue to define this growing district. For many, it was a reminder of just how special downtown feels when it’s filled with people, movement, and shared moments.

And then there were the outfits.

From sparkles to denim to full-on Dolly-inspired flair, the creativity on display added a personality to the event that you just can’t manufacture. It was fun, a little over-the-top in the best way, and completely fitting. Country music may not be for everyone—but Dolly sure is 🤍
